You can start in the D3-equivalent of Tier 2 if you want (for "experienced Diablo players") so I did, thinking I was probably in that category. I recently read a guide on one of the game sites that recommended that at first I just focus on main quest goals - because if you don't, you'll level too quickly and so will all the bosses. More like Grim Dawn or even Breath of the Wild, if the comparison can be stretched. They did the current thing of matching the enemy level with your level so grinding isn't as important - since all the enemies and bosses level up with you.Īlso the open world format makes it a very different style of game than before. It's more difficult for me, even steeped as I am in the genre, especially Diablo 2,3, and Grim Dawn (777 hours!). I've been playing D4, intermittently since late afternoon on June 1, and I don't know if I like it yet or not.
